Contour Highwall Mining, LLC (CHM) is a privately-held company headquartered in Summersville, West Virginia. The company has been highwall mining since 2000 and by the end of 2011 will own and have in operation 7 SHM highwall miners. CHM also leases the machines to affiliated companies who operate and highwall mine under contract coal in West Virginia and Kentucky. The company also is affiliated with Bundy Auger Mining, Inc. which removes coal by the auger method under independent contract mining agreements.
